OSTREMO: A Journey Through Innovation and Resilience
OSTREMO’s story began during the height of the dot-com era in 1997-2000, when we were known as GAJO Computers, named after our founder’s last name.
Starting from humble beginnings, our journey began in Walden’s townhouse, where he built custom computers and sold them to friends and family.
In 2007, we opened our first commercial Computer Sales and Services store in Montgomery Village, MD, serving the Montgomery County (MOCO) area.
In addition to our storefront, we expanded our reach by participating in computer shows across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC,
showcasing our products and services to a broader audience. Through these efforts and strong word-of-mouth referrals, our reputation grew,
allowing us to proudly serve over 3,000 residential and business customers. By 2008, our success culminated in the opening of a second storefront in Kentlands.
However, the economic crisis of 2009 brought significant challenges. With the downturn affecting many businesses, we made the difficult decision
to close our storefronts and scale back. Despite this, we remained committed to our clients, continuing to provide consulting services to our business customers.
In 2017, we embraced a new chapter by rebranding as OSTREMO, shifting our focus to Managed IT Services, including Computer Services, Networking,
and Web Services. This transformation marked our dedication to becoming a trusted IT partner for small businesses.
Looking forward, with a renewed vision and energy, we are expanding once again in 2025, opening a new commercial location in Urbana, MD.
This facility allows us to provide hands-on computer and IT services to both residential and small business customers, strengthening
our commitment to empowering our community through technology.
